What is FoundUps?
FoundUps is a two-sided iOS app that connects startup founders with investors. Investors swipe through pitch decks, founders approve the ones they want to talk to, and both sides unlock a chat once they opt in.
Is it free?
The core matchmaking and chat are free. We may introduce Pro features later — things like boosts for founders, extended filters for investors, or deck analytics — but matching itself will always be free.
Why two-sided approval?
Because founders shouldn't have to talk to every investor who shortlists them, and investors shouldn't waste intro calls on founders who never reply. Requiring both sides to opt in filters out the noise and makes every match a real conversation worth having.
How is this different from AngelList or LinkedIn?
AngelList is a marketplace for deals; LinkedIn is a graveyard for cold messages. FoundUps is a matching app — no feeds, no newsletters, no follower counts. Just a focused flow for discovering and connecting with the other side, gated by mutual interest.
What stage of startup is FoundUps for?
Primarily pre-seed and seed — where founders most need direct access to investors and investors most need to see a lot of deals quickly. Filters support any stage though, so it scales as you grow.
Is my pitch deck secure?
Your deck is only visible inside the app, and only to investors matching your filters. No public URLs, no downloads, no screenshots incentivised. You can remove or update your deck at any time.
